K-12 Training Day 1 Breakfast
Although we are housed at this hotel, our breakfast is also catered from someone else. So the four of us are given breakfast daily, at our hotel inside styropacks, and this morning, it was delivered door to door.
What's inside? Sunny side up egg and 1 fried longanisa...
The breakfast pack comes with a sachet of coffee...
Oh well, free breakfast it is.. Not yummy, but filling! Enough to prepare us for the start of our training..

K-12 Training for Grade 8 Teachers
>> Sunday, April 28, 2013
After eight months, we have finally reunited with our batch-mates of newly hired teachers of DepEd. We all were hired September 3, of last year and it is only now that we have seen each other again after being deployed to our different assignments.
Thanks to this K-12 Mass Training for Grade 8 Teachers, we have met again. This day started with the usual registration, not expecting anything more than to join the training for the sake of learning more for the betterment of our careers.
Anyway, above is a picture after my colleagues and I have all registered and were assigned a hotel to stay in for the duration of the training. We were clueless as to what will transpire afterwards..
We went to our hotel and checked in and rested awhile...
Since we were told to come back at 5:30 for the orientation and audience with the regional director, we took our kit, especially our meal ticket for the evening as dinner shall be served at the venue..
And as the first photo shown above, we took photos before the regional director finally made his way and gave us his inspirational message..
So this is it.. Tomorrow shall be the start of the K-12 Mass Training for Grade 8 Teachers of Region 10. We shall be assigned to different venues per subject area... That means, we will not be seeing our batch-mates again...

Where to eat Goat dishes in Cagayan de Oro City?
>> Thursday, April 18, 2013
Technically, if I do not know who cooked the goat dish, I do not eat. At home, we cook Goat Kaldereta and if it's not my mother or father who cooks the dish, it will be my brother. I could never imagine eating Kaldereta some place else, other than our own house. But yesterday, since Four Square Day 2013 in Cagayan de Oro City was held at Daltan's Kambingan, I have discovered that Kaldereta can be eaten outside of our home, seriously!
They have really yummy Goat Kaldereta at Daltan's. And of course, other goat dishes are available too. Aside from the Kaldereta, we were able to sample Daltan's Kilawin.. It was nice to the palate.. Not too spicy, I loved it.
Of course, their Goat Sinigang was wonderful. I love the steaming hot soup, with a silky finish to it. Although, I didn't quite like the meat in it.. It was still goat meat of course, I am just not sure which part of the goat it was made from..
Oh and this dish took my breath away. I didn't know goat can be good as Adobo. Although, I must tell you, I ate the Goat Adobo twice yesterday and the first one was not at all that convincing as the meat was tough at 5pm, but was already tender when it was served during the FourSquare event, with a time difference of two and a half hours. I guess it was not ready then at 5pm.. Okay, okay, don't judge me. I woke up late yesterday and had my lunch at 5pm---- lunch because I woke up at 1pm. When it was time for dinner, I simply tasted the dishes served, and not really ate dinner, okay? hehehehe... I am not a glutton you know!
Moving forward, here's another dish that is simply good. The Papaitan which is actually clean. Hahaha.. I was telling the gang that in some places, Papaitan is prepared with goat's dung--- and I am not kidding! That is the reason why I do not eat goat meat any place else...
So if you are searching Where to eat Goat dishes in Cagayan de Oro City, I will not be promoting our kitchen, but Daltan's Kambingan in Cruz-Taal Street. They also have beef dishes as well as native chicken and some fish dishes, so if you do not eat goat, but you are in a company of voracious goat eaters, you still have something to eat from their menu..
By the way, they are open 24 hours and if you are in need of a massage, they have the Star Blind Massage on the 2nd floor. They also have free WiFi for all their customers to enjoy using while dining..

Chill!
>> Tuesday, April 16, 2013
It has been really warm since the start of March. At home we have indulged in fruit juices and cold water but to no effect. Sometimes, ice cream work wonders as well as all the cold treats one can think of, but it is momentary, we all know that...
All the more one becomes thirsty and well, need more treats to cool down..
This post will perhaps make you smile or give you an idea as what I am up to at this moment.. Well, I took the sundae I bought yesterday from the fridge, and above is how I found it to be.. I guess even the sundae knows what very hot weather we have and it wanted me to enjoy... hehehe...

Creole Seasoned Liempo...
>> Saturday, April 13, 2013
Okay, let's just say that I have developed this obsession on Creole Seasoning, and not just an addiction, lol.. Another batch of my Creole Seasoning Experiment..
Cut my liempo in five, and fried them.. not necessarily deep fried.. So for two slices of liempo, you will have ten cuts the least, which will easily get cooked compared with cooking the entire liempo.
And voila! Yummy liempo that's calling you to sit and eat.. but then, we'll have to wait until all of the cuts are cooked..
Of course we had to slice them to bite sizes before serving--- the kids loved this simple dish. Our basketball star liked it that he actually ate before his game..

Dinner with the Kids After Jolas Cup--- Jollibee XU
>> Friday, April 12, 2013
Tonight my little brother's team won the game. They played basketball, 10-under and won over the kids from a school in Bukidnon, I forgot to ask what. We went to see his game without dinner so we practically rushed to Jollibee, a stone's throw away from the gym where they played, for it.
Guess who ordered this huge meal of Ultimate Burger Steak? It's not mine really! It's Lili's.. and she ate this meal all by herself...
Above is Ira's all time favorite spaghetti and the desserts for me and Sweet...
Below is my meal, and it was just right for me, lol...
The desserts for Lili and River..
Sweet's choice, as she said she was on diet..
And of course, our little basketball champ's meal...
We were all so happy and teh kids didn't want to go home yet, but we had to because it's almost bedtime for them...
