Dirty Ice Cream

>> Friday, October 22, 2010

Here is the latest look on the all time favorite "dirty ice cream". It used to be scooped into a cone. Do you remember? Manang the peddler told us that it is because of the rainy season that cones are no longer commonly found. And I notice, they come in a cleaner packaging---
By the way, it was never dirty or anything. The reason why it is called dirty ice cream, as I was told, is that, it gets peddled from one point to another, so people have this notion that the traveling has made it dirty with dust and everything.. But lately, if you have been attending kiddie parties, you will find a similar cart during the celebrations..

I was informed that a cart may cost P 1800 to P 2000, depending on flavor and the gallons of ice cream ordered.. to have this special display for the duration of the party, for everyone who wants to eat it--- Quite cheap, plus, it can actually make lots of children happy---
Before, it is usually men who peddle the dirty ice cream.. But now, look. It's Manang Ice Cream smiling in the background, lol..

No worries. If you indulge in this street fave cooler, you will not necessarily need the most effective diet pills. As my friends would say, they are NOT quite harmful.. hehehe

Packing Longanisa

>> Thursday, October 21, 2010

For those of you who want to sell Home Made Longanisa, here is a ten step process on how to keep your Lonagnisa well packed.

1. Of course, to be able to have a longanisa to make, you must have the longanisa ingredients ready--- I will not share any recipe on this post as this is only limited to packing the longanisa.

2. See that small glass in the photo above? That is actually what is used to measure the exact content for every piece of longanisa. Some people use the scale to weigh each piece, but if you do not have it in your kitchen, a small glass is more convenient and practical..

3. Do this by batch or you can also do them all at once if you have the right number of trays to have each of them sit as you roll and wrap each piece.

4. Of course, when they are ready, you can now get each and roll them on a clean plastic that will serve as your container..

5. Make sure that each piece is properly rolled--
6. Make sure that each piece is properly wrapped..
7. Make sure that each piece is properly secured at both ends..

8. Again do this process by batch as again, this will save you time and energy..

9. When you have enough to pack, place them inside a clean plastic..

10. Lastly, to secure freshness, vacuum seal and lock each packet..

Amazing procedure, right? You can apply that at home or in your home business..

Another Food Investment?

>> Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Over lunch today, as were having golden roasted chicken from Senyor San Pedro, my father was talking about investing in another food business. In my mind, I was thinking of Gold from the United States Gold Bureau. Well, I have read so much about gold investments and I am convinced that it is indeed better to invest in Gold than in all other investments. One reason, it will never stale nor depreciate in value. Food business offers lots of liabilities. I tried telling my father that but I decided to listen to what he had to say instead.

When I read about gold bullion, gold nuggets or gold coins or even gold jewelries for investments, I never disagree on the fact that it does not have any downside, except of course if your gold source is not that secured enough..

Soon To Be Feast..

We usually celebrate my father's birthday with a feast. Lechon or the Philippine's roasted pig is never absent in all our celebrations, except when budget is not enough, which is seldom because my father's belief is that celebrations should be grand as it is often an expression of thanksgiving for the years that passed. For good health and good intentions. Of course, we have not come to a point where we needed fast weight loss pills after the feasting. But this year, I do not know if Tatay will still have his usual feast as pork is being minimized in our home consumption. Last fiesta, we did have Lechon and it was too bad we had to consume the left overs  for days.. That is not what we want, that is why we are suggesting that we should simply eat out--- But, we'll never know what the plans will be until they are executed..

Soup No. 5 or known as "Remember Me"

Are you taking herbal male enhancement for a proactive sex life? Well, if you ask Chinese medicine men, they will give herbal medicines of course. But for Filipinos, if you say that you are having trouble in the sexual department, then you will be served with Soup No. 5 or typically known as "Remember Me". That is actually soup that is made from a cow's testicles.  By the way, the photo above is borrowed online, as we no longer have source to where we can buy Remember Me. In some regions however, testicles of goat are also used.

I have tasted this dish and well, it's actually very hot and spicy, but yummy. If you get drunk, this soup will help take away drunkenness. And if you have colds, this soup is also good as good and effective as chicken soup..  But I have not felt anything that could be connected with sexual desire or anything--- maybe because I am a woman.. I do not know with men..

Dinner at Mooon Cafe

>> Saturday, October 16, 2010

We were craving for pizza and since we were still at the Robinson's Mall due to heavy rains and no ride to go home, we decided to eat since it was actually late already.  We ordered just the small size Karnes Pizza, and some bottomless iced tea..

Looking further at the menu, we decided to eat a full dinner..
I had Tuna Belly and my sister Sweet had Mooon Steak..  This Tuna Belly is just right, although, this isn't the Tuna Belly that I was graving for.. I like my Tuna Belly grilled and have some special flavorings.. But like what I said, this was just right. It didn't flunk so it is okay, lol..

Sweet's taste buds told her to ask for more so she asked for some condiments to help her enjoy her steak more, as she finds it a little bland to her taste. After that, she enjoyed her meal.. Of course, the Mooon Steak was quite huge for her so she shared it with me, lol..
For the record, we only ate a piece each of the pizza and took it home instead.. We were so full..

Siomai Food Trip at Robinson's..

This is quite a good Siomai stall.. I love the taste of their sauces.. Their Siomai however is not filling and well, lacks the authenticity of the dish.. For me, that is..
See, when the attendant said it's five pieces for P 29.00, I said it was quite cheap. Imagine, we get our Siomai at P 5.00, and considering they are at the mall, so I imagined, they are rather very affordable.
And I saw that they were indeed full, as five pieces couldn't seem to fit in the paper plate it is being served on.
Then the attendant offered us the sauces. WOW.. Variety indeed is very good. Among the sauces, my favorite was Chili Garlic, and Sweet's was Sweet Chili. But of course, you have the option to mix your own concoction out of the sauces offered. Other sauces include Teriyaki Sauce, Oyster Sauce and Soy Sauce, plus calamansi..

Oh, and instead of using toothpick, the pick was quite presentable too..
DOWNSIDE: I felt like eating mostly wanton wrapper with just a hint of meat inside, and nothing more..  It could have been better if it was filing enough, for regardless of the price, it would have been salable.. If it were filling and the sauces are great, I think they can sell them for P 35-45 pesos..

Emily's Wishlist

>> Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Earlier I posted about Emily wanting to purchase Timmy's skeletal muscle relaxant. Well, we have searched online and found a Soma without a prescription - US Licensed Online Pharmacy, and Emily just wants to do the same. But then, for her to Buy soma online no prescription - US Licensed Pharmacy, she still has to register for a US address, and Timmy just happens to be very helpful in that department. So as soon as Timmy said okay, Emily signed up for the Soma order online - US Licensed Pharmacy Online, and went ahead with her purchase. Funny, even she has already made her purchase, she is asking every soul to give her a packet for Christmas. A simple wish from dear old Emily.. Maybe I will give her some too..

TFC- Inasal (The Filipino Chicken - Barbecue)

My Tito Noel's new baby will be opening on October 31st and well, we are kinda excited for him too. His plan is that, if it will be a hit in Singapore, he will be having it available for franchise. I am sure anyone will be interested should it already be a hit. I for one, would perhaps get installment loans to pursue a franchise. The food looks great and the business looks promising enough.

The good thing about these installment loans, is the fact that anytime, anywhere you will be able to get them and pay them at your most convenient time. Just as you get money when you need it the most.  So when that happens, surely, an installment loan would be most advantageous. Don't you agree?

No Alcohol for Timmy

Timmy has declined to take alcohol together with his dinner. When we first asked him why, he told us that it is not allowed. We wondered why and so we asked further questions. We learned that he has been taking medication of Carisoprodol or known as Soma. Nothing really serious, it is just a skeletal muscle relaxant that is normally used to relieve the pain of muscular injuries such as sprains, spasms and strains. It was what he took after he had sprained his foot to be able to walk without the pain. Erlinda searched about it online after dinner and we found out that it is rather a prescription medication and may somehow be habit-forming. We joked that Emily should use it, but Erlinda read further, that it should only be used by the person for whom it was prescribed. Since it is not a general pain reliever, it can not just be used by anyone without the prescription.

We searched further on as emily got really interested with teh said medication and we found out that we can actually Buy Cheap Soma Online. And even buy it without prescription.. OMG, whatta Soma Buy.. We read it again and again, and we read it right. We can actually Buy Soma Without Prescription..

Now Emily has her card ready.. hehehe And Tommy was saying, just make sure to avoid alcohol when taking it because it will increase any dizziness or drowsiness caused by the medication. Emily nodded..

On Cake Designs

>> Saturday, October 9, 2010

We were looking for cake designs online to have some idea about Tatay's cake on the 24th. And I found a few that are not actually for a man's birthday, but a woman's,lol..
I love that design as this one below:
Aren't they wonderful? Since Tatay is into cars and PC games, I am thinking of any of the two for the design. Of course, the PC should look real enough that even the flash drive should look authentic.I saw one with a tie, but it is not Tatay at all. I mean, birthday cake designs should reflect the personality of the celebrant. Oh well, I still have time to look..

Dinner with the Writer

>> Friday, October 8, 2010

We will have a fellow blogger for dinner tonight, and I shall be preparing something for the person who taught me that there is money in custom essay writing as well as helped me establish an online research paper writing services. I am talking about my friend Nielda. So here are some preliminaries for tonight's foodies. They are not done yet as I shall be adding some more of the ingredients later..

Nield's favorite is Paksiw na Bangus, but I will be preparing Beef Stew also.
In our chat last night, she told me that online essay is also in these days and that we should both do some partnership in a project that she is working on. That is why we will be having dinner to discuss the possibilities.

Anyway, about the food: I will continue to cook them tonight as soon as I arrive from school. I needed to cook them ahead like that to save time later. At least later on, all I will need to do is reheat and add the other ingredients. So they will still look fresh and taste fresh. And teh beef has already been tenderized for the duration of my pre-cooking earlier..

Bodol

>> Saturday, October 2, 2010

If you have been in a Citizen's Army Training or been in the military training, you may have had this experience. Bodol is what this is called, where food is enjoyed by everyone in one table and all foodstuff are mixed together on a banana leaf.

I saw this photo at Facebook and I was reminded of such meal..

Bitter Fish Skin Crackers..

>> Friday, October 1, 2010

I tasted Fish Skin Crackers from my friend Gay's aunt's business. But they do not make them all the time. They make them only when some people would order fish fillet from them.
I was fascinated by its presence at the Peanut World cart, only to be disappointed as it does not taste as how I imagined it to taste..
