Chicken Day

>> Saturday, September 20, 2014

Today we went to the Kaikan for 12 hours Daimoku Toso. We brought lunch so we wont have to go outside to eat. Lili requested for her favorite Chicken Fillet Sandwich, and that's just what we had.

Oh how she loves it very much.

It's juicy and crunchy, even when it is no longer warm.

When we got home, this is what greeted us. It's Jollibee Chicken Joy and Barbecued Free Range Chicken.

Now all I can imagine is feathers growing on our skin, lol..

For dessert, we shared Buko Halo..

We discussed while eating, and afterwards, we moved to planning our next activities. When lunch was over, we were full and productive.

Night with BFF and Her Clan

>> Wednesday, September 17, 2014

It was one of those unplanned meetings. My BFF arrived and is actually going back to Saudi Arabia on Friday. Before her flight tomorrow, we have to meet. We were supposed to meet last Saturday but we moved it due to some constrains in schedule. We were very busy at school too. But tonight, busy or not, meeting is a must.

We decided to meet at Centrio but since all of the food places we wanted to go to was full, it was decided to be transferred at BFB in Corrales. We did enjoy a Pizza, Pasta and Chicken and Mojos Dinner. It was my first time to meet with her new friends, her Clash of Clans team. They were nice people. It had me curious about the game because all of them are professionals playing the said online game.

The pizza arrived to our table rather late, as there were some problems with the first order, but everything went fine thereafter . I learned a lot about Clash of Clans and each one even showed me how to play the game, as two or three of them were actually playing online.

When it came, we digged in, continued talking about the game they are hooked on and before I went home, bff handed me my favorite chocolate and a make up set.

Thank you Thank you Thank you so much BFF.. Till your next visit. Hope you have a safe flight tomorrow for Manila and on Friday, for Saudi Arabia.

Grade 9 Level Recollection

>> Sunday, September 14, 2014

Every year, each high school level in our school, except the Grade 7 students, have a recollection for added boost to life and living. Our department have been doing that as a program to enhance and uplift spiritual life of the children.

It is also the first time for most of them to dress up for a school activity. Sunday's best or their best attire, which they can afford to wear.

My girls above helped me distribute snacks for the facilitators during morning break. And yes, they were wearing dresses as they trotted with me from the ground floor to the sixth floor of the building, helping me distribute the Baked Siopao and Iced Tea.

But during lunch, it was us teachers who did the distribution.

Lunch for the teachers and the facilitators was a choice between the Chicken Meal and the Pork Meal. I chose the Chicken of course.

After lunch, activities continued and at 3 O'clock in the afternoon, Catholics were invited to join the mass at the XU Chapel. Non-Catholics stayed outside, waiting for the picture taking by class. While mass went on at the chapel, I had to take a break and sip the Okinawa Milk Tea outsie of the church, as it had some kick to make me come alive after feeling sleepy. I forgot to bring my Aloe Tea Concentrate with me, so this did me a favor.

After the mass and the pictorials, we went to Jollibee for a meal and some evaluation meeting.

Here's us, Grade 9 level teachers during the registration, as we opened the recollection, and the meeting as we ended our day.

The day was tiring, but fun.. :-)

Date with my Housemates

>> Saturday, September 13, 2014

Today we went to enrol for a Bartending course. The two kiddies went with us as we shall also go home to our parent's house. But we also planned to get our passports from DFA, unfortunately, releasing of passports are only done during weekdays and never during weekends.

Before we went home, we had dinner at Greenwich, which is a request by the kiddies who said they want to eat Greenwich Pizza and Lasagna.

No close up picture of the Lasagna, but only with the Pizza, hehehe..

After that, we went home. The kids? Fulfilled..

Enrolling in another Skills Training Course

My friend told me about this skills training course that we can take for a month and only during weekends. I got interested because I am actually looking for one that will allow me to learn something new and be able to take an NCII from TESDA.

So we went to the school and enrolled. After the documents were signed, we were invited to sit-in and see what is going on at the classroom.

The students were actually having their exams. So we got to witness how bartending is done and how students cope.

The said student prepared six drinks and we got to sample two of them.

Lemon Squash above, and the one below, Banana Shake.

The two drinks we sampled were yummy. I can't wait to start.

Oh Pork! What to Eat? What to Eat?

We just arrived home and these are the food that greeted us.

Both dishes are made of Pork, so I had a problem with dinner. I no longer eat pork, just chicken or fish.

Hmm.. Good thing I have my shake :-)

Market Day

>> Friday, September 12, 2014

My sister and I went to the market this morning. We bought fish, fruits and some other goodies.

While we were choosing the many different fishes, we came upon a stall that sold Stingray. It was tempting to buy some but I do not really know how to cook a Stingray.

I've tasted Stingray twice. First in Cebu, and the second time was in Singapore. It was not practical for me to buy some mainly because I do not have a recipe and I am afraid I may not be able to give justice to the fish.

After buying Malasugue, Parrotfish, and some Tangigue, we bought kakanin. My sister especially likes the Puto, the Sapin-sapin, and the Fresh Lumpia.

I especially love the cheap fruits. Imagine, we bought huge Marang for only 30-35 a piece. We bought five.

Today's Treats

>> Thursday, September 11, 2014

Discovered two goodies today.

Tako Yaki from the canteen

Bibingka from Juanito's Grill

Well, I didn't eat them all, I just tasted each. The Tako Yaki is very cheap. At P 10, it fills a hungry stomach. Very good snack treat for our students. The Bibingka is quite good. It is Orange flavored and very crunchy on the outside, while smooth on the inside.

Lunch at the New Jollibee Branch

>> Wednesday, September 10, 2014

The newest Jollibee branch opened near our school and we went there for lunch today. My co-teachers and I ordered chicken breast, but it was not available.

So we ordered other items on their menu.

When we were done, a staff handed us forms to answer. We answered, and we were surprised that we were given a treat while we were busy chatting before we left.

Thank you :-)
